The API has a issue tracker if you want to make an enhancement request.

I doubt it's the parser itself that its the issue, its making it behave nice.

Using or customising your own parser you have the flexibity to make it
work for YOUR case.

GGeoXml needs to work in the widest range of situations for everyone.
(including use cases on Google Maps)
