You may have missed what Andrew said -
> {lat: 40,12345} is incorrect. {lat:"40,12345"} will not cause an
> error, but parseFloat(lat) will return 40, not 40.12345. parseFloat
> ("40.12345") will produce 40.12345 (or 40,12345 in European usage).
