Wait, back up.  I already know how to do custom icons and what not.
In fact, you can see that on the test map you've been looking at.  I
added the search toolbar to the map.  When you type in an address, it
does several things like zooming in ot that address, adding the
marker, and popping up the info window.

Now, I can suppress a few things, but changing the marker ... not sure
how that's done in this particular case since it's all within the
search.
