Assuming "udig" is uDig http://udig.refractions.net/gallery/ then there a number of answers. * You almost certainly can't embed API maps, both from a technical perspective [API maps are Javascript, not Java] and a legal perspective [it's likely to be against the API Terms of Service, although desktop apps are allowed now] * You may be able to embed maps from maps.google.com if uDig allows use of URLs. Click the "Link" link above-right of a maps.google.com map and see if one of the alternatives works. * If you're interested in using Google's map imagery within a uDig map, forget it. That's completely against the Terms of Service. * A better place to research is the uDig wiki and mailing lists: see http://udig.refractions.net/developers/ If I've got completely the wrong end of the stick, you'll need to be a bit more explicit in your question.
