I see this topic was brought up back in July, but I see no resolution for it.
I absolutely LOVE the maps API .. excellent system! The one thing that really irritates me is that if you have a long page, and are using the mouse wheel to scroll down the page, and the map suddenly comes under the wheel, suddenly you are changing the map zoom instead of scrolling the page. Is there ANY way to shut this off? I see no reason whatsoever to use the wheel to affect zoom. Take a look at: http://lutheranliturgy.org/search.php5?formState=California Position the mouse just to the left of the addresses and start scrolling down. the map will appear, and ... boom. Now you have a huge map and you see south america and africa, etc. The same thing happens here: http://lutheranliturgy.org/driving.php?numedit=24 type in an address, e.g. St Louis, MO .. now use the mouse to try to move down the directions list on the right side. If your mouse happens to be over the map .. zoom, no scroll.
