I'm working on a little application that will be a little like Google's MapMaker. The similarities are: you can draw and edit polylines on the map. Drawing them isn't an issue; however, I'd like to be able to snap these polylines to an actual road route.
1. Is this kind of functionality available in the API and its services as is? 2. If not are there other geocoding services might provide this in some fashion? 2. If not how might I go about doing this myself? I don't need code, but a comment about the algorithms used would be great.
