Hello, I am working on a site whose centerpiece on opening is a map of Cairo and its historic buildings. However I also have information layers (divs) that come forward over the map, but although another layer is visible, the mouse actions still register as if the Google Map is present.. so I can't use links or scroll bars because the system thinks the map is still present. How can I "shut off" the Google controls but without forcing the map to reload when I return to it.
