Hi Ivan, Thanks a lot for the response.....I understood that we don't need API Keys in Maps API V3. But it seems that i was mixing up code from V2 and V3 :-)
The workaround from Andrew Leach at http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=1364 helped my case. Thanks for the help.
