Hello, I have a question regarding Google map's URL query mechanism.
If I am looking for directions by car and want to output it via KML, I can enter the following URL: http://maps.google.com/maps?output=html&f=d&source=s_d&saddr=131+central+st+somerville+ma+02145&daddr=1+cambridge+center+cambridge+ma&ie=UTF8&hl=en&dirmode=driving&dirflg=d&output=kml ...and would receive a KML file with the correct data. However, if I am looking for directions via public transit and want to output it via KML, I enter the following URL: http://maps.google.com/maps?output=html&f=d&source=s_d&saddr=131+central+st+somerville+ma+02145&daddr=1+cambridge+center+cambridge+ma&ie=UTF8&hl=en&dirmode=transit&dirflg=r&output=kml ...and I get a blank KML file. Is there a reason for this? Am I formulating the query incorrectly? Or is this not supported yet? If it's not supported yet, any ideas when it will be supported? Thanks so much for your time.
