The calculation isn't trivial, so it would be as well to ensure that you are acting within the Terms of Service http://code.google.com/apis/maps/terms.html -- in particular paragraph 10.8. Is your J2ME app a web browser? If it isn't, there isn't much point in working out the conversion.
