Is it possible to get an accurate static map from an embedded
interactive map? A client sends me the embed code to use in a site,
but I am also expected to generate a static map based off of this
data, but the static map never seems to get it even close.

Here is a link to the interactive map:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=embed&saddr=2000+Cadenasso+Dr,+Fairfield,+CA+94533+(Fairfield+Transportation+Center)&daddr=Lemon+St,+Vallejo,+CA+94590+to:hilltop+park+and+ride+ca+to:260+California+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94111+to:1+Ferry+Bldg,+San+Francisco,+CA+94111+(Ferry+Building)+to:San+Francisco+4th+and+King+Street+Station&geocode=CRkHz1wuQKzzFTSgRwId-F-5-CF2OjsShb1Huw%3B%3BFUp6QwIdkJe1-CHhcYpjyrfJFg%3B%3BFeO2QAIdr2y0-CE1bkDnbBJb5A%3B&hl=en&mra=pe&mrcr=0&sll=38.019968,-122.221527&sspn=0.622071,1.455688&ie=UTF8&ll=38.019968,-122.221527&spn=0.622071,1.455688

And here is the attempt at the static (I'm not worried about the path
at this time):

http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?markers=size:mid|color:green|2000+Cadenasso+Dr,+Fairfield,+CA+94533+(Fairfield+Transportation+Center)|Lemon+St,+Vallejo,+CA+94590|hilltop+park+and+ride+ca|260+California+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94111|1+Ferry+Bldg,+San+Francisco,+CA+94111+(Ferry+Building)|San+Francisco+4th+and+King+Street+Station&path=color:0x0000FF80|weight:3|2000+Cadenasso+Dr,+Fairfield,+CA+94533+(Fairfield+Transportation+Center)|Lemon+St,+Vallejo,+CA+94590|hilltop+park+and+ride+ca|260+California+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94111|1+Ferry+Bldg,+San+Francisco,+CA+94111+(Ferry+Building)|San+Francisco+4th+and+King+Street+Station&maptype=terrain&size=425x350&sensor=false&key=ABQIAAAABhAYm_sCIrYrG209I80kqhSHvzGvXH0i2DxlhoY8Q-Q2nEAXVBRxmNcBhneTSWt-0LJ-LUZ5IozenQ

As you can see, the addresses in the links are identical, yet the maps
are worlds apart. Thanks for the help, I'm really stumped on if I'm
doing something wrong or if this is just not possible to engineer the
static map from an embedded interactive map.
