Hello, i did some tests to use a GOverlay subclass with MarkerCluster.
It seems to works well but i had to add some methods to the GOvelray subclass getLatLng, isHidden(), hide() and show() ( i take them from the Mike Williams's elabels - thanks ). But i'm not sure there won't be any pitfails, what do you think about this ? Here is a link ( i will have to remove in few days) : http://labomedia.lobotomie.org/rccc/geo/markerClusterer/ ( firebug 'console' inside source !). I noticed that the performance are really better with a GOverlay subclass, but strangely , if you add many markers ( 1000 rather 100), then the gain of performance will not be so good (i wonder why ...). Here are the libs i used : - MarkerCluster : http://googlegeodevelopers.blogspot.com/2009/04/markerclusterer-solution-to-too-many.html. -GOvelray subclass ( MarkerLight ) : http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-samples/source/browse/trunk/youtube/markerlight.js?r=2300 ( arf : this one is in the 'youtube' section of the SVN !?). thanks for any response/advices riccco --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
