Wow, OK. Here's the thing: 1. the .org.uk domain doesn't exist, it was a typo. 2. the key is valid 3. I've just added the key to the line in my code that was throwing the error and it now "works", or rather no longer throws an invalid key error. 4. the real issue still exists, I cannot get the map to display directions and local search as part of the same function 5. and now that I have been able to get past the key error, the issue also includes not being able to set a direction default, which I could do before with just the directions enabled.
Sorry for being blunt, but this post delay thing seems to be adding to the problem at hand. I hope things are clearer now.
