Rossko's responce was almost certainly not 'canned' - its specific to
your question.

It's true a complete question might not need a link, but long
experience shows a link is a very consise way of providing all (or
most) the information for a question.

For example in your case what is the 'color attribute' you talk of? We
dont actually know... We can only give our best guess on the
information available...


I guess you mean <color> tag in <IconStyle> ? If so, then no it doesnt
work in Google Maps API (as Rossko said the API doesnt manipulate
iamges - its beyond most browsers)
But that applies a colour cast to the image, having a white
background, sounds like a different issue - have no idea what that
would be...

The Plugin uses its own rendering functionality - and as such is
unaffected by CSS. The API map is running directly in the browser  and
so inherits much CSS rules from the page (but implements some of its
own so not all have an effect)
