You may need to make sure that the first part of the URL is correct. Version 2 should start http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap? -- if you're still using http://maps.google.com/staticmap? then it won't be expecting the version 2 syntax. If that's not the cause, then please give a link as requested inthe posting guidelines.
