I am building an app that uses the geocoder results to fill in Country
and Region for locations that are entered in by the client.

I assumed that all successful results come back with at least a
country and region, but I was wrong. Addresses in Russia are
successfully found, with an accuracy of 9, but for some reason don't
come back with any "AddressDetails" except the "AddressLine"

I have two questions for you guys about this.

1. Do you know of any other countries that have this problem? If it is
just Russia I can live with it, but if this is going to crop up lots
of different places I might have to rethink my design.

2. Can we get someone at Google to at least have Russian addresses
spit back the country at least? I don't need it fully broken down,
but at least having the country name wouldn't break my code. They
already have Russian Federation in the address, so I wouldn't think it
would be too hard to add Russian Federation as the country. Maybe
there is some political issue I am missing here, but you get my
problem.

I can't use the "accuracy parameter," which is a proposed solution to
similar issues, because like I said, these are coming back as 9, which
is a fully resolved "building level" address.

I just noticed that the google geocoding info spreadsheet says that
Russia is available "In local character set only." I am using UTF-8,
if I switched to something else would it start to output the extra
XML?

Thanks,

-MikeH
