Current thought in the group is that some proxy or other has been
misconfigured. Your results are not inconsistent with that; indeed a
file size limit might support that hypothesis.

Hopefully it's temporary! On the other hand the rest of the world
could just follow suit.

No-one else has mentioned a 6MB limit.
