Please don't post code. It's not possible to debug a code listing.
If this is what is actually in your code
var apiKey = "{googleApiKey}";
then that may be what is wrong. You need a real, valid, key where the
{googleApiKey} placeholder is.
If correcting that doesn't make it work, please post a link so we can
see it in action.
