Whilst Google is into everything, they don't own everything...yet! If you look at the part of the screen where you expected to see the Google logo, you'll see it says 'Copyright Maporama'. Go to maporama.com and you'll see they are a commercial mapping solutions provider. I think you got a little excited about nothing.
