Everything is possible!

You just need to add an internmediate point, like:
saddr=29.377201,-98.48093+to:2617+Roosevelt+Avenue,+78214
That one works fine if you come from the general direction of Austin.

But since you don't know where they are coming from, that could be a
silly detour, so you need to calculate the approximate bearing that
they are coming from and have a few different intermediate points that
can be added to the route depending on that.
