Hello I´ve just came across Pamela´s Fox article about creating a store locator with Google Maps. It is suggested that we use the haversine formula, which is a computation of distances in great circles. Since GMaps is a 2D mao app, i wonder if this kind of measure, suitable for globes,and great distances, apply to local mesures like distance between stores. Any hints ?
