I don't see any zip codes in the information returned by the geocoder:
http://www.geocodezip.com/example_geo2.asp?addr1=Chennai%20India&geocode=1

That implies to me that the geocoder doesn't have access to that
information.

Perhaps for India, zipcodes are not a good choice to base the location
on.
