Terrain tiles should be displaying correctly everywhere already. The Apps Status Dashboards is only for services that are part of Google Apps, which does not include Google Maps: http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/index.html#utm_medium=et&utm_source=catch_all
However, you can use the Puppet tests linked from the issue tracker and/or file a bug if you detect something terribly wrong, if you do so please let us know in this group as well.
