JFYI... tried Marcelo's fix and it's not working for me.

I just see that the non-working maps load a bunch of transparent.png's
and mapcontrols2.png, mapcontrols3d5.png from maps.gstatic.com.

Any update on a fix? Also I'm just amazed why my one map works but the
other two don't...
