Apparently the quiet param only shuts off messaging after the initial
load....
I must have done a more extensive quiet for a custom build. I may have to
add a veryquiet option ;-)
One way without that is to make a messagearea div on the page and set
its display to hidden and pass a reference to it...
geoxml = new GeoXml("geoxml", mmap, "usa.xml" , {iwwidth:250,
sidebarid:"the_side_bar", messagebox:document.getElementById('messagearea')});
geoxml.parse();
