Thanks to both of you.

I had thought the problem might be the fact that there were only four
numbers in the image map co-ords. But Mike you are too charitable in
assuming that I was intending to use the undocumented rect type
imagemap (though I had noted your reference to it). I just
unthinkingly created the imagemap numbers without understanding (ok
this is pretty dumb) that these were x and y co-ordinates. Now I know.

And geocodezip - thanks for telling me what that IE6 error is about. I
don't think I have included IE map transparency images yet (though I
must). I just used the pngfix for the other markers. Is it too off-
topic to ask what tool you use to find out javascript errors in IE6?
