I recommend the first thing to try is to make a manual PHP call
identical to what your client code would make. Try it on both computers
and compare the output.

.../phpsqlsearch_genxml.php?lat=37&lng=-122&radius=25

If that doesn't return clean XML data, then there's a problem with your
server. If you see the same clean XML data on both computers, then it's
a problem with your client.

The sort of server problems that you might see are:

  An SQL error is displayed - probably an SQL config problem
  XML source code is displayed - probably a MIME type problem
  PHP source code is displayed - PHP not installed
  XML syntax error reported - could be a problem with the data or your
      PHP code
