Firstly, I have very little experience of Javascript but, by using snippets of code gathered from various sources, I have put together the test webpage below (its on my website on prostate cancer!)
http://www.prostate-cancer-radiotherapy.org.uk/googlemap.php The javascript function load(lato, longo, zoom) produces a map with a draggable marker and, using an html form, the latitude, longitude and zoom level of the marker position is displayed as it is dragged around. When the form submit button is clicked, I have some php code that converts the latitude and longitude into the UK Easting and Northing location of the point. The problem is when the form is submitted, the page reloads so that you can no longer see the map of the point location - as it resets to its start position. I have tried various things to get round this but I am out of my depth on this one. After clicking the submit button, I would like the map to remain in its position so that I can redrag to a new location and click submit again to find the new easting and northing. I should say that the final aim is to obtain the wind speed from a map location using a database - using php. I can do this without too much strife but I cannot avoid the map reloading everytime. Any help would be appreciated. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
