Your getTileUrl() code looks for tiles in the range 1_0_0 to 1_1_1, e.g. http://map.fathomthat.org/bigmap/1_0_0.jpg
but the files that actually exist are in the range 1_1_1 to 1_2_2, e.g. http://map.fathomthat.org/bigmap/1_2_2.jpg Either add 1 to the tile numbers in your getTileUrl code or subtract 1 in the filenames.
