We use Google Maps in our application to display information. Now, we want to use it another way, and we're not sure if an existing API would do the trick..
For the application, imagine a hypothetical pizza delivery service... that can deliver nationwide, or possibly only to certain states, or possibly only to certain counties in some states, or possibly only certain towns in some states. We're looking for an API that would enable a pizza delivery service to be able to tell the system where exactly they are willing to deliver to... nationwide, state, county or local... or some mix of them. Oursite would then collect all of the information from all of the pizzerias in the system Now... when someone wanted to order a pizza, the site would provide the pizzeria contact info (i.e. which of the pizza services will deliver to my home). Mind you that in our case, you do not know or care where the pizzeria is located (i.e. no need to choose the closest one). Rather, you want to see a listing of ALL of the pizzerias that are willing to deliver to your home, regardless of where they are located (and lets keep the issue of cold pizza out of the discussion for now). By example, if I'm in Manhattan, I might see 3 pizza delivery services... one in CA (nationwide deliver), one in NJ (they cover both NJ and NY) and one in Manhattan itself (they only cover Manhatan). I then pick from the list, which one I want to work with. Any help/guidance would be appreciated.
