Some other bits about moving GPolygon I want to share. I use Opera 10, not officially supported but functional with Google Map. When I drag the GPolyline in Firefox, it is super smooth. When I drag it in Opera, it is jerky (but still functional). I notice there are network activities when I'm dragging. Turns out it sends the coordinates to Google to render the whole path as a big .png to overlay on the map. Pretty amazing ajax trick that works reasonably well. But Opera do support <canvas> and I wish they just do it locally.
