Thanks for writing in, verifying the bug has been resolved. I recently got clarification that this bug was in fact affecting all versions of the API. The problem was caused by a server-side change which modified the Cache-Control header in the HTTP response. This affected all incoming requests for the JavaScript library and was responsible for the IE6 issue affecting all versions.
Since the underlying bug resided on the server instead of inside a specific version of the JavaScript library, the fix is not version-dependent in that regard.
