Agreed. But I can't do that during work time and it's a work issue.
Plus, I am relatively happy in the belief that would be a waste of
other people's time since we have already ascertained the issue
occurred without changes to the code. Whilst the code may be a factor,
I wasn't looking to have the code fixed but simply a question
answered. The rest of the post was just to present a justification for
the question. I was not reporting a bug, nor demanding a fix for one.
I'm trying to ascertain the facts so I choose how to deal with the
issue appropriately. Hence the question.

Condescendingly assuming I can't or choose not to read and
condescendingly assuming have no respect for the community. I read and
am aware of the community guidelines and which ones I would be showing
little concern for if this were a bug report. It wasn't, just a
question. Any implication otherwise is discourteous.
