My site loads a lot of javascript beyond the Google Maps library.
It's a search type site where the user finds something, views the
content on another page, and then hits the back button to return to
the search results.

My problem is that the users browser has to load the google maps code
and initialize the map every time they hit the back button to return
to the search content.

I was thinking of displaying a static map and then if they click the
static map, load the same page but with the map API activated. This
seems a little overly complicated though.

Any suggestions?
