I need some help getting started on the code to move the map centers when a link outside of the Gmap is clicked. Please understand that I'm not a developer, but a sales guy building a site for my new business. This is my first dynamic site and I have very little knowledge of javascript so please be gentle, I'm pretty proud that I made it this far on the map without help LOL.
The site is theracersresource.com It is currently password protected since I don't want to put it out to the general public until I have the real data in there. This site will be free to the public when it goes live. Here's the login info: Username: resource Password: 4racers I don't have the links on the pages going to the page in question yet so it will have to be typed in. The page is race_track_directory.php You will see a row of buttons across the top with the states listed on them. The buttons do the sql query to display a dynamic list of tracks just above the map (AL, AK and NV are the only states with data in them for the demo). I would like to have these buttons reposition the map on the state center of the button that is clicked but I'm not finding any info on how to even get this started, probably because I don't have enough knowledge yet to even search for the correct terms. All of the info for eventListeners that I've seen refer to events within the map. I'm not looking for someone to do my work for me but would greatly appreciate help on how to get started.
