I assume you're using Firefox 3.5 on a Mac (that assumption isn't magic, it's based on how your postings reach the Group). I don't have a Mac, and currently only have v2.0.0.20 available, but there is an Error Console available under the Tools menu. In Internet Explorer under Windows there's a little exclamation mark in the status bar which can be double-clicked. I expect that the Mac versions are similar. I use the Firebug extension in Firefox, which provides a lot more help than the Error Console does; that may work on a Mac too.
