I have a website that allows people to manually plot points on my map and then save them as an individual pinpoint or a path of several pinpoints. I love it and it works great but I'm thinking that there has to be an efficient way for people carrying GPS devices or smart phones to do this without manually interacting.
My friend mentioned something about GPX data files??? Can you please provide a couple of sites or maybe some reading material that will help me learn how to add this functionality to my site? My end result will be me carrying a cell phone on a kayaking trip and then at the end of it saving the plotted course up to my website.
