I had forgotten that our skin had changed for that site, and as you
mention, there is code in there to "fix" png images, which is probably
causing the problem in IE.

I switched back to our old skin to verify, and now it is working in
all browsers. I need to go back in the new skin and create a version
which removes the offending code (or exempts the div in question as
mentioned above).

Can't tell you how much I appreciate the help, was losing my mind
trying to figure this out.
