Yes. You can remove the first setCenter statement, and then make sure the second one is positioned before the addOverlay. You'll need to include the zoom in the [second] setCenter statement. I'm intrigued about how you ensure the right marker details are returned from your php when it doesn't get any arguments to help the selection.
