Does anyone have an idea of how one could coax the Google Maps API into giving a rough idea of a city size? It doesn't need to be terribly accurate; more than anything I just need to know whether the locality in which a given Lat/Lng is one of the larger cities among its neighbors.
I know I could set up my own system for querying the USGS database of populations, but it would really speed up my application if I could get this information from the maps API. Thanks!
