If you don't put it online, we can't see what you did wrong.  I can

That wouldn't help.  Javascript experience would be better.  Try going
through some javascript tutorials on the web.

The code I posted earlier worked in the browser bar of your page, so
should work if placed in the correct place on the page (after the
GDirections calls have completed).
