I'd commented out both those out because they relate to the div side
bar and not the GControl one I'm trying to create.

I've uncommented both now and there doesn't appear to be any errors on
the page.
However the custom GControl with the scrollable list of markers
doesn't appear below the map type controls.

Am I missing something or have I got something nested again?
