Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place, my apologies if I am not.

I have a problem with a search and map function that is meant to
prioritise by postcode, then randomise within the postcode. It does
neither and the technical support team are unable to fix this. They
claim that it's a google issue, which I disagree with but as it's out
of my league I can't prove anything...

For instance, we are in postcode 2060, but we are listed at result 32
and other non-2060 postcodes are prioritised before ours. It's sloppy
and we feel it makes us look unprofessional.

The most recent comment (yesterday) from technical support:

"After a thorough investigation, it has been found that there is no
technical error with the postcode search in the Find a Planner
function of amp.com.au

As I'm sure you can tell the search function and results are reliant
on the Google based algorithm and function provided for AMP use. At
this point in time it has been verified that the function is currently
working as designed and approved - the only "fault" being that no,
Google is not randomising these results, they are in fact always the
same when searching postcodes in certain areas. As you've noticed,
this tends to effect the Sydney and North Sydney areas most
frequently. Unfortunately the only way to "fix" this would be to
initiate further negotiations between AMP and Google in order for
Google to change the way their search algorithm works in these
particular cases. As you can imagine this can be a lengthy and
expensive process."

Is anyone able to assist me or provide some guidance? I appreciate
any support or feedback you may have.

Many thanks,

Sheridan
