has links to several "cut-out" demos (Hawaii, Alaska, Canadian
Provinces, United States) working in every browser except Internet
Explorer&  Opera.  It requires the CANVAS "globalCompositeOperation"
which IE does not support&  Opera has implemented incorrectly.

That looks nice... in Firefox. I would need something that's cross browser. The original link I sent seems to implement this by doing masks which are generated server-side. How hard are these to generate?
