In my MSIE8 your shadows look perfectly normal.

Check to see if you see the problem with other people's API v3 Map pages. If you do, then it's a problem with your copy of DirectX or MSIE.

Make sure you have the latest copy of DirectX installed.
Try clearing your MSIE cache in case it's corrupt.

If that doesn't fix it, try asking in the Maps v3 group, this is the Maps v2 group.


By the way: on my computer I can't persuade the bottom half of that superbox to be in view in MSIE, but that's a superbox issue rather than a Maps issue. You might consider whether superbox is actually doing anything useful for you that you couldn't do more reliably with two or three lines of your own code.
