A good start would be to follow the advice given in your earlier post at http://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-js-api-v3/browse_thread/thread/6cf97aaf8ad89fdf and follow the posting guidelines, which in the Version 2 Group ask several times for a link. The question has come up before: have you searched? You're listening for the maptypechanged event: presumably you shouldn't just "return" if ge exists: all that means is you don't need to set that variable.
