Bear in in mind, at the first click, the browser and API can't tell if
there's going to be a second click or not.
A single 'click' event will be fired.
If there is a second click later, a 'dblclick' may then be fired ...
but whatever that does may be hidden or overridden by whatever the
first click is doing or has done.
