When using FF 3.0, the overlay message is displayed below the map (outside of the map), but within the table and is displayed until the map and markers are fully drawn. Same with Opera v9.63 and Safari v4. In IE 6.0 with SP2, the overlay message is displayed within the map, but only for a second or two; then it disappears and the map and markers continue to load.
