These examples all seem to use the Google widgets. However, I want to be able to call the search from the server side, and then make changes to the results. For example, Yahoo's Rest API returns the distance from the coordinates to the restaurant in miles but I want to change that to kilometres. I just want a json or xml result, the same as you get when you query Google. Does Google provide such a search?
