I actually think the bug is in the maps api code (loaded from http://maps.gstatic.com/cat_js/intl/en_us/mapfiles/193c/maps2.api/%7Bmod_dspmr,mod_kmlu%7D.js). It constructs a KML string to represent a GMarker (invalid due to unencoded ampersand) and then passes it to the earth plugin function parseKml(), which then fails on the invalid KML. e.g. '<Document><Style id="Sundefined"><IconStyle><Icon><href>http:// chart.apis.google.com/chart?chst=d_map_pin_icon&chld=cafe</href></ Icon><hotSpot x="0.45" xunits="fraction" y="0" yunits="fraction"/ ><scale>1.0625</scale></IconStyle></ Style><Placemark><styleUrl>#Sundefined</ styleUrl><StyleMap><Pair><key>normal</key><Style><LabelStyle><scale>0</ scale></LabelStyle></Style></Pair></ StyleMap><Point><coordinates>-122.17281360016881,37.44733149010904</ coordinates></Point></Placemark></Document>' (from debugger with http://loc.dynalias.org/Test/earthtest/prova.html) Should I report this under gmaps-api-issues? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
